At WPS, every project is more than just an installation, it’s a collaboration of passionate people who bring technical expertise, creativity, and heart to the table. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on PJ, a Site Supervisor whose “jack of all trades” approach makes him an invaluable member of the team.

A Role That’s Never the Same Twice

When PJ joined WPS, he was told what stood out about him was being a jack of all trades—and that description still fits perfectly today. His role isn’t rigidly defined. Instead, it shifts depending on the project and location. Based in New Jersey, PJ works closely with union crews at Princeton and other sites, coordinating projects, problem-solving, and making sure jobs run smoothly.

“I like to keep busy with my hands,” PJ says. “Sometimes that means wiring, other times it’s supervising crews or supporting installations. No two days are the same, and that’s what I love about it.”

Princeton Projects and Beyond

PJ has been at the center of some impressive projects, especially at Princeton University. Living just a few miles away, he’s been able to stay closely connected to the ongoing work there.

One standout was the museum project, where WPS installed a 16×9 video wall in the Grand Hall—complete with audio integration and conferencing capabilities.

Beyond Princeton, PJ also looks back on the Durham Bulls stadium project with pride. “It was nuts—working until two in the morning, battling snow, and still pulling it off. It wasn’t perfect, but it was seriously impressive what the team accomplished.”

Music, Metal, and Miles Davis

Though PJ insists he’s “not musically inclined,” his love for music runs deep. His playlists are as diverse as his workdays—ranging from Miles Davis to ‘80s British heavy metal, with some techno and classic country mixed in.

“Friday doesn’t start until I’ve listened to British metal,” he laughs. “That’s been my tradition for years.”

What Matters Most

For PJ, technical skills are just one part of the job. What he values most is working with people—crew members, clients, and colleagues alike.

“People respond positively when you highlight what they’re doing well,” he explains. “I try to focus on that, and it makes a huge difference on site.”

And while his hands-on skills with wiring and installations are second nature, PJ says the most important lessons have come from experience and working with all kinds of people over the years.

Why WPS Stands Out

PJ’s history with WPS goes back to when he was 18, working as a subcontractor. Over time, he saw firsthand the character of the company not just in projects, but in the way WPS stepped up to help people in need.

“WPS will always have a special place in my heart,” PJ says. “It’s not just about the work we do, but how the company takes care of people.”
